Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later. This blog got hacked on New Year’s day. The surprise was who hacked it—apparently Islamic jihadists, instead of the Reich-wing bozos (FBI, NSA, Pentagon PsyOps, assorted neofascist nutjobs, etc.) that you might expect. Well, I knew better and I still didn’t do it. Didn’t set up a backup system for this blog. And didn’t have up to date versions of the files on my machine. Won’t make that mistake again.

I expect the reincarnation of this blog to take a while. I’ve been really busy for the past 6 months or so—thus the reason that I had been posting so infrequently. I’ll chip away at it, bit by bit, so please be patient as I do my disaster recovery operation.

My friend Cristina wondered why Islamist radicals would target this blog, being that I am so inalterably opposed to the NeoFascist agenda of the present BushCo regime, its wars of Empire and Oil, its subterfuge, its utter corruption, its treason, its bloodthirst… and yes, its unceasing campaign of lies.

This is the price we pay for allowing our nation’s government to be hijacked by anti-democratic, anti-American Empire-mongers. Blind, blanket hatred. All Americans are the enemy.

This is what happens when you tread with jackboots on a people with long memories, a long history of enduring and resisting imperialist aggression, generations of frustration pent up to the flashpoint of blind rage.

Yes, they too are responsible for the indiscriminate nature of their own blind rage. But we bear a part in it.

So, to those who hacked this site, I can only say that you hacked the wrong guy. I may not share in your blind rage, but I am angry beyond words at my own government and its betrayal of our ethical foundations, of our Constitution, of our founders’ legacy.

Our nation’s leaders are not only traitors to our country, they are traitors to humanity. But let us not engage in duplicitous behaviour. Let us not be indiscriminate in our rage. Let’s acknowledge the fact that there are many in the U.S. who are adamantly opposed to our government’s policies, and who are fighting to change them to a more just and honorable agenda.

That’s my agenda here, with American Liar. So please, target someone else more deserving of your malicious hacking. Leave me in peace to fight the injustice of our government’s policies on my own home ground.
